BASIC FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of the appropriate Dean, this position is a part-time temporary instructional faculty assignment. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: Provide instruction according to approved Imperial Valley College curriculum and course outlines, based on college needs. Responsibilities include conducting classes, preparing lessons, evaluating students, developing syllabi, assessing learning outcomes, and other related duties, based on class availability, seniority, and qualifications. Maintain and submit accurate records (grades, syllabi, attendance reports) by deadlines. Uphold standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the position. Advise students on academic matters. Maintain competency in the field. Applicants may qualify through education and experience equivalency. Minimum qualifications include: Master's in political science, government, or international relations; OR Bachelor's in any of the above plus a Master's in economics, history, public administration, social science, sociology, ethnic studies, JD, or LL.B.; OR Equivalent qualifications.
