ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Kansas City, Missouri.
Job Description & RequirementsOpportunity:
\nRN - PICU
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work night shifts, 36 hours per week for 13 weeks
\n• 2:1 patient ratios for days, nights, and weekends
\n• Must have minimum 1 year of PICU experience and 1 year of travel experience required
\n• Weekend coverage required
\n• Float between main facility and sister hospital in Overland Park, KS (approximately 12 miles southwest)
\n• Required certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS (only AHA certifications accepted, no RQI)
\n• Must have both Missouri or compact license AND Kansas license
\n• Care for patients with diagnoses including acute organ failure, respiratory distress, brain injury, congenital heart disease, post-operative recovery, and septic shock
\n• Utilize advanced monitoring and life support technologies including HFOV, ECMO, intracranial pressure monitoring
\n• Pass medication/dosage test with 100% accuracy within first week (3 attempts given)
\n• Work with patient age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
\n• Any kid-friendly scrub colors or patterns accepted
\n• Charting system: Cerner and Epic experience required
\n• Free parking with permit provided

The facility provides 24-hour care with board-certified pediatric critical care specialists and offers advanced life support technologies, in-house consultation for 30 medical and 8 surgical pediatric subspecialties, and comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams.
