Job Description

Requirements:

At least 10 years of experience in the design, implementation, and project management ofcommunication systems in healthcare construction projects. Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Computer Science or other related field required. BICSI RegisteredCommunications Distribution Designer Certification is a plus. Must understand the healthcare industry and the current models of patient care. Travel in the United States as required. Must have experience with most major communications systems within healthcare facilities. Must have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

1. To effectively manage a technology planning project from the beginning and to be

recognized as a strong team player who contributes to timely project completion.

2. To promote NWG's initiative to be the premier provider of comprehensive program

management services by growing NWG's Technology Planning Team in terms of market

reputation and recognition in the industry.

3. Ensure personal educational growth in all healthcare related technologies.

4. To be recognized by clients as a successful owner’s advocate by positive feedback, or by

being requested by name on future projects.

5. To assist and support multiple project managers in the completion of projects on time, and

on budget.

6. To ensure profitability within the Technology Planning Team core services group, thus

creating a profitable environment for NWG.

Primary Role:

The primary project responsibilities for this position are to plan, organize, and coordinate work

activities for technology planning projects. Key activities include, but are not limited to, the

following:

Responsibilities:

 Develop budgets from space programs or preliminary drawings.

 Inventory and asses existing systems.

 Design communication systems.

 Develop and manage project budgets.

 Develop and distribute specifications and Request for Proposals (RFP).

 Evaluate vendor proposals and make purchasing recommendations to the owner.

 Manage the procurement process by revising the budget, issuing purchase order documents, processing change orders, and coordinating equipment delivery.

 Coordinate activities with the owner, architect, engineers, contractors, and vendors.

 Coordinate with the Medical Equipment Planning consultants on each project, and implement the infrastructure required to support communication systems.

 Attend classes, seminars, and conferences to stay current with new products, applications, and technologies.

 Coordinate with manufacturer/vendor representatives to ensure that the equipment product library, databases, and files are current with pricing, technology literature, and specifications.

 Other responsibilities as required.
