The Sales Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's sales operations. This includes developing strategic plans to meet sales targets, leading and mentoring the sales team, introducing products, and building strong client relationships to foster growth. The ideal candidate will have an engineering/technical background, experience in technical sales within the electronics industry, and support from a dedicated team of professionals. Essential Job Functions Develop and implement effective sales strategies aligned with company goals. Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team, including direct outside sales personnel, manufacturers' reps, and distributors. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients. Utilize data mining for market trend analysis and identify new opportunities. Manage the demand creation pipeline actively. Prepare and present monthly sales reports to the executive team. Manage the sales budget and allocate resources effectively. Collaborate with marketing and product development departments. Ensure all sales activities comply with legal and regulatory standards. Perform other duties as assigned to support the department and company. Supervisor Responsibilities Oversee and manage a team of Regional Sales Managers, Reps, Distributors, Product Managers, Inside Sales, and Marketing across multiple locations, ensuring performance, job satisfaction, and career development. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical/Electrical), Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; Master’s preferred. 7-10 years of sales experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth. Deep industry knowledge of electronic interconnects and an extensive network of industry contacts.
