Our Location Energy Trust provides for a range of work location options, including remote, hybrid and in-office work. This position will represent Energy Trust in public settings and potentially at community events. We are open to candidates who live throughout Oregon and Washington. The Project Manager would be expected to report to the office on a quarterly basis, at minimum. What We’re Looking For: The Project Manager – Communities + New Initiatives will assist in the implementation and delivery of new community energy resilience offerings and initiatives funded through a grant with FEMA. The grant supports community energy resilience planning efforts including pre-feasibility studies for solar and storage microgrid projects located on critical facilities benefiting underserved communities and capable of providing utility grid services. The Project Manager is responsible for managing an array of projects required to support federal contract deliverables, including coordinating the activities of community partners and program subcontractors, scheduling and tracking activities, and supporting reporting. The Project Manager will support community outreach and engagement, customers, stakeholders and delivery contractors pursuing community energy resilience projects. This individual reports to the Sr. Program Manager - Communities + and New Initiatives and works closely with the Program Manager responsible for the FEMA grant. This position is expected to report to the Portland office quarterly at a minimum for all staff and other in-person meetings. This position may participate in additional meetings across the Energy Trust service area, including representing the organization in public settings and at community events. What You’ll Do: Lead internal cross-functional team designing and implementing a collaborative and complex federally funded program. Coordinate all aspects of project planning and implementation under the direction of Program Manager and Sponsor. Ensure that outcomes meet the needs identified by internal leads, stakeholders, and the communities these initiatives are designed to serve. Support community outreach, engagement, and advisory activities, such as: convening internal and external stakeholders, community members and delivery contractors, gathering and sharing community input for customers pursuing community energy resilience projects. Support the integration of community input into Energy Trust’s programs and offerings. Implement accountability practices such as sharing back with communities about how their input was incorporated. · Act as point of contact for communities interested in pursuing community energy resilience projects Ensure that customer or contractor concerns are appropriately documented, resolved, and/or escalated. Ensure strong communications and alignment of project teams, including facilitating regular cross-functional project team meetings. Act as the main point of contact and provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders and community partners. Provide federal contract and grant management support under the direction of Program Manager. Oversee contractor invoicing and budget management. Manage day-to-day project activities including coordinating with team members, subject matter experts, and community partners to ensure team members are aligned and project tasks and deliverables are on track. Responsible for the creation and sharing of project planning and process documentation; including implementation plans, timelines, presentations, reports, and memos. Provide information to support Energy Trust’s public reporting activities. Work closely with project and program leadership and product owners to share information and facilitate key program design decisions, utilizing a community-centered approach to ensure equitable outcomes. Manage program data and support compliance documentation. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Perform all functions of the job in a safe manner.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Requirements What You'll Need Bachelor’s degree (project management, engineering, science, economics, business administration, environmental science, public policy ), or equivalent professional experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. Three years’ experience in project evaluation, project management, project development or design, or the ability to translate skills to such. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required. Experience working on teams as well as coordinating work across different teams. Excellent coordination and organization skills, with high level of attention to detail. Ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects. Demonstrated ability to produce clear, concise reports, develop recommendations, and make presentations to a variety of audiences Facilitation skills and experience working with multidisciplinary internal project teams and external community partners. Familiarity and experience with the following areas will be beneficial: community engagement, community outreach, racial equity, community-based organizations, clean energy, construction, workforce development, community energy planning, community resilience, and/or disaster preparedness . Highly self-motivated and accustomed to working in a fast-paced team-based environment. Proficient in data entry and general computer use, including MS Office software, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and other database applications, working knowledge of SharePoint and Asana . Ability to work remotely and provide adequate internet access. Must be able to interact with a diverse workforce and be comfortable working in culturally diverse settings and groups.
