Job Description

Responsibilities & Qualifications RESPONSIBILITIES Design, implement, configure, and enforce network security controls across routers, switches, firewalls, and endpoint devices. Manage enterprise-level Active Directory (AD) deployments and security configurations. Perform vulnerability assessments using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) tool and implement mitigation strategies. Configure and secure Cisco networking devices, ensuring compliance with DoD policies and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Utilize tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump for in-depth network traffic analysis and packet inspection. Troubleshoot complex network connectivity issues and provide solutions to support mission-critical operations. Deploy, configure, and manage firewall and IDS/IPS solutions for proactive threat detection and prevention. Maintain compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards, including RMF processes and NIST guidelines.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of full-time professional experience across all of the following areas: Network security design, implementation, configuration, and control enforcement. Applying and validating STIGs across network and system components. Managing large-scale Active Directory environments. Conducting vulnerability assessments using ACAS. Configuring Cisco network infrastructure. Analyzing traffic with Wireshark and tcpdump. Troubleshooting network connectivity and performance issues. Implementing and managing firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS). Certifications: DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level III (One of the Following): CASP+ CE CCNP Security CISA CISSP (Associate) GCED GCIH CCSP Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Education: Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
