Eagle Harbor is looking for a forensic accountant to join our team supporting our customer in Arlington, VA. Responsibilities include providing extensive knowledge regarding accounting and financial practices, serving as a forensic accountant and authority in the identification, examination, and analysis of financial data, assessing the value of financial evidence, and utilizing various computer applications to review and interpret financial transactions. The candidate will produce in-depth financial investigative reports, participate in subject and witness interviews, and may be required to testify in criminal and/or civil proceedings. They will also develop and provide forensic accounting presentations/briefings, maintain contacts in law enforcement and other government agencies, and mentor inexperienced forensic accountants and financial analysts.
Requirements include being a US citizen, passing a pre-employment background check, and having a bachelor's degree with a major study in finance, business administration, economics, accounting, mathematics, or another related field. Minimum of two years' specialized experience working in the field of forensic accounting is required.
Qualifications include the ability to organize and conduct detailed examinations of information generated during complex criminal/civil investigations, using information obtained to prepare documentation for law enforcement personnel, strong oral and written communication skills, experience in specialized areas of expertise such as prosecution, forfeiture, organized crime, drug, money laundering, or similar areas of criminal activity, and demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite programs (Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Position is in Arlington, VA and is on site 5 days a week with no remote work.
