Job Description
ESH Intern
An Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Intern in a manufacturing setting typically assists the EHS team with various tasks to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. This includes supporting safety initiatives, conducting inspections, documenting safety procedures, and participating in EHS-related projects including topics of Ergonomic and JSA revisions.
Job Responsibilities:
· Safety Support:
Assist with safety initiatives, such as developing and implementing safety procedures, conducting safety training, and monitoring safety performance.
· Inspections and Audits:
Participate in safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
· Documentation:
Assist with documenting safety procedures, risk assessments, and incident investigations. Including special projects.
· Environmental Data:
Review and analyze data (SDS & PDB’s) related to regulatory compliance including EPA, DOT as well as preparing annual reports.
· Collaboration:
Work with other departments, such as production, procurement, shipping, engineering, and quality, to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
· Administrative Tasks:
Assist with administrative tasks, such as preparing reports, maintaining records, and computer data entry.

This is a temporary position for the duration of the summer, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs
Working Environment
· PPE as required (steel / composite shoes, safety vest & eye protection)
· Work gloves for various applications
· Exposure to minor temperature variations
· Long pants required
