Exciting Career Opportunity: Associate/AVP Corporate Banking, bilingual Mandarin

Base Salary: $42k $150k (Depending on experience and qualifications)

Location: Onsite in Manhattan

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics is required; a masters degree is preferred.


• 5 years of experience in structured finance for AVP; 1-4 years for Associate.


• Passion for syndication, self-starter, high-energy, dependable, detail-oriented, mindful of the big picture, multi-tasker, performs under pressure, problem solver, takes ownership, well-reasoned.


• Ability to analyze multiple data points and make confident decisions. Team player.


• Knowledge of financial modeling.


• Formal credit training, especially in structured finance including project finance, loan portfolio management.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual in Mandarin highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct due diligence for high-profile deals in project finance, infrastructure finance, M&A, and syndicated loans.


• Prepare detailed credit recommendation reports (CRR) and collaborate with the credit risk team on underwriting and due diligence.


• Evaluate creditworthiness of clients, ensuring decisions align with profitability and risk standards.


• Oversee loan documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.


• Monitor and review the banks loan portfolio regularly for asset quality and compliance.


• Maintain client contact, explore opportunities, and expand business relationships.


• Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and target customers.


• Participate in business development, marketing plans, and industry events.


• Structure, negotiate, and supervise term sheets and commitment letters aligned with credit decisions.


• Manage portfolios including Project Finance, Syndicated Loans, M&A Finance, and C&I Leveraged Lending.


• Ensure efficient loan processing and closings.


• Assist with administrative tasks like account setup, internal reports, and post-lending monitoring.


• Ensure compliance with AML, BSA, KYC, and other regulations.


• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.


• Support audits with documentation and evidence.
