Associate Estimator

Position Summary: Fanatics Collectibles is seeking an Associate Estimator to assist in preparing cost and time estimates for production projects, based on detailed job specifications and customer requirements. This entry-level role supports the Estimating team by gathering pricing data, performing basic cost calculations, and helping prepare job quotes. The Associate Estimator works under the guidance of experienced estimators and collaborates with internal teams and external suppliers to support the preparation of accurate and timely estimates. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow in the fields of estimating, manufacturing, or production operations.

Essential Functions:

  1. Assist in reviewing job specifications for each project to support accurate cost estimation.
  2. Help calculate basic time, labor, and material needs for all phases of production in a job.
  3. Gather and organize pricing information from internal resources and external vendors.
  4. Contribute to the preparation of cost breakdowns, quotes, and bid documentation.
  5. Enter and update estimate data in internal systems.
  6. Help maintain documentation and records of estimates, quotes, and vendor data.
  7. Proofread and review quotes for accuracy and clarity before submission to internal teams
  8. Work with internal groups to collect missing details or clarify job requirements.
  9. Assist in sourcing vendor quotes for materials and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timeliness.
  10. Generate a list of raw material requirements during the estimating phase, to ensure the timely sourcing and delivery of all necessary components for each product.

Other Functions:

This position requires knowledge of the offset/UV, digital printing and finishing industries, including familiarity with vendors and types of materials being used. This position also performs other projects for the company as needed.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, walk, sit, and kneel. This job also requires clear vision at 20 inches or less (can be correctable with lenses). Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to each side while eyes are fixed on a given point.) The ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust eyes to bring an object into focus) is necessary. Distant vision (clear vision at 20 ft. or more) and color vision (ability to distinguish colors). Minimum Requirements:

Education/Experience:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  2. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  3. Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant working experience (estimating, purchasing, project coordination, or administrative support in a production setting).
  4. Familiarity with industry-specific materials, equipment, and processes is helpful but not required.
  5. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel or Access for data management and analysis; experience with estimating or project management software is a plus.

Environment and Scheduling:

  • Work is performed in an administrative office setting.
